Lake of the Ozarks

This weekend we were invited to the Lake of the Ozarks with some friends from church. We stayed in a really nice house and had a nice, relaxing weekend.

We went for a boat ride around the lake (its much different than Mark Twain because everyone's house is right there on the water). Mommy was loving the wind blowing through the hair!!!

There were some really nice dogs that lived near by and came to visit.. this is Bo.

I even caught a fish (with daddy's help).

Mommy debated on whether she should post this one... LOL. You know how people talk!

Eckerts

I forgot to blog this last week! We took a trip out to Eckert's to pick peaches and blackberries...

it was such a cool saturday for being August and we had a great time!!

Daddy was on cloud nine amongt all those blackberries (they are his favorite!).

We joked that they should have weighed him before and after they let him out in the field so they could charge him for all the blackberries he ate! He and grandma had black hands when they were done. My favorite part was riding the tractor!

Rascals Game

Sunday afternoon we went to the River City Rascals game... it was a very nice evening (especially once the sun went behind the stands on the other side of home plate). There are fun things do for kids like an inflatable, a playground, yummy ballpark food and there were even lots of contests and game between innings.

Asher is still taking about it five days later...

"Asher see baseball! See hotdog! Egg roll fall down and SMOOSH!"

The real story goes like this.... during a break between innings the QT characters came onto the field dressed as a hot dog, egg roll and taquito. The egg roll and taquito each represented a section and whichever of them one a boxing match, the section got QT coupons (not for hot dogs, egg rolls or taquitos mind you). As it happened the taquito knocked the egg roll down and pounced on top of him (hence the SMOOSH).

It was funny at the time but we had no idea that he would be talking about it all week! Mommy loves her little story teller!

It was also bring your dog to the game night (which we forgot, but Tag gets way too excited around other dogs...)

Watching this today made me appreciate how laid back our pets are....

Park Playdate

This week was way too nice not to have a playdate at the park!

This is mommy's favorite... you never know what little boys are thinking, do you?

Don't try this at home..

Daddy took Asher for a ride in the lego wagon... Asher was laughing so hard... after he was done Daddy noticed the picture says not to let children ride in it... now they tell us... LOL!

Silly Faces...

This started out because he had a fruit snack stuck in his teeth... mommy told him to make a silly face and this is what happened...

Alena's Back

Yup, school has started and my buddy Alena is back! We've had lots of fun playing this week..

More Pool!

Thats what Asher says when its time to leave... he sure does love to swim...

This time J.J. came to the pool with me! Our favorite thing to do was climb the stairs and play at the top of the slide...

I did decide to go down the slide ALL BY MYSELF... mommy was shocked... now I'll go down big slides at the park myself too!

Where does the time go?

Children's Camp

Yes, I'm not quite old enough to be an offical camper, but since mommy was a helper this week I got to visit! The food at camp is Super Yummy (especially since Grandma Mary was one of the cooks!)

Daddy and I only stayed one night, but we were in charge of bringing the truck on thursday to take all of the luggage and supplies home. They needed an adult on the bus, so mommy and I rode back to church on the bus... it was the only thing I talked about all day!!
