The Great Paint Incident

Can you imagine them actually wearing these? Yup, this is what happens when a mommy gets distracted on the phone.... Asher and Alena managed to find three bottles of sealed, unopened paint and destroy the carpet in the basement. I really should have gotten a picture of them before they were sent to the bathtub and to bed, but I was kind of in panic mode. Thankfully we found out that it will come up with some paint thinner and alot of scrubbing...

My Favorite Things

(Sound of Music song playing in the background...) I thought I'd take a brief moment before posting the next toddler catastrophe... opps, I mean.. creation.... to show you a few of the things I love about spring and our house. This is my half white, half pink Dogwood tree... yup, its the same tree! My Irises... A full flowerbed, (yes, before I weeded this weekend) but Zoe's flower is here, and its full of all kinds of other pretty things that I managed to take pretty good care of. My green thumb is looking just a little bit greener every year!

(Oh, ignore the landscaping blocks that I need to sink deeper so they don't tip... I moved them so Nathan could mow)..

Saturday with Friends

Saturday was our neighbor Claire's first communion. We spent the day helping her family get ready for the party and then actually enjoying the party on their back deck. Mommy decided to give fondant a try and make Claire's cake... it turned out pretty good (no, you can't submit it to Cake Wrecks!!). Asher was still having a great time playing with his friends when it was time to head home to take a bath!

Baby AJ

This picture was too cute not to brag about! These adorable children belong to my good friends (M&C). They just welcomed baby AJ into their family a few weeks ago... how precious!!

Pizza making with Aunt Holly

On sunday Asher spent the afternoon at Aunt Holly's. He told us they had a tickle fight, played Wii tennis, golf, bowling and baseball ("I make little tap and get it in hole".. I assume that was golf). He also helped fix lunch... "I put pepperoni, pinepple, cheese, sauce..." sounds like he had quite the afternoon!! Here are some cute pictures, courtesy of Aunt Holly! Birdie Thing

This is what Asher calls his "birdie thing". Its a mask his "Aunt" Chrissy brought him from her trip to New Orleans. He asked me what it was, and I said... "uh, a bird?" ... he liked that answer, so now he loves to wear it and walk around the house saying "tweet, tweet"

Easter Eggs

Aunt Holly helped me dye my easter eggs this year! Mommy wasn't quite brave enough to try it last year, so this was my first time!! Daddy suggested a fun Star Wars kit, so I had fun with the stickers after the eggs were all colored. You gotta love this pose.. Very proud of his eggs... Our two favorite egg (I mean, vegetable) friends!

New Bike

Today was a great day to ride a bike! This is my new (pre-owned) big boy bike with training wheels. Mommy said I am tall enough, but I don't quite get how to push down on the pedals. Why push them forward when it is so much easier to go backwards? :) It was worth a shot!
