Cardinals

Monday night we took Grandpa Jerry to the Cardinals game! Once again there were no fireworks, but I managed to keep myself entertained! (A note to all the mommies out there, Fredbird is only around until the 3rd inning so if you want to go see him, do it early... which really defeats the purpose of needing a distraction later in the game). Daddy and I had fun dancing to the organ music... I am really good at yelling "CHARGE"

Planes, Trains and .... hot air balloons?

Saturday was a very busy day for me...

First we started off by riding the Metro into Illinois to see the Air Show (hence the train part). There were lots of fun planes, civilian and military planes... mommy and I sat in a helicopter!

We also saw lots of planes flying around and some even did lots of tricks. Unfortunately most of them were REALLY LOUD... I didn't like that part so much! One of the guys on the flight crew gave me some cool neon green earplugs.

These were daddy's favorites.. the Thunderbirds.

This was a stunt plane, there is actually someone standing on top of it while it went upside down!!

I was tired, so earplugs in I decided to take a nap...

We headed back to Missouri and got off the train at Forest Park. It was a short walk to Central Field where all the balloons were getting ready to air up. We waited about two hours, so we found lots of things to occupy ourselves...

Finally it was time to see the balloons!

These two bumped into each other... OOPS!

Wow, what a fun day... I was exhausted by the time I got home!!

Thursday

Thursdays are busy around my house... there are lots of friends to play with!

Hurricane Puddles!

Monday we went outside to play after mommy thought it had "dried up". She didn't know that the swimming pool had gathered water (good think she dressed us in clothes that could be easily washed.... in other words, she didn't let Alena wear her pretty pink clothes outside).

Boys Day Out

Mommy spent the day on Saturday scrapbooking at church with Aunt Holly and some other ladies, so Daddy took me to the Civic Center for the Festival of the Young Child. We were hoping to pet some bunnies, but there were none to be found. I did get to see the inside of an ambulance (on display, I'm not hurt) and a police car and my favorite of all...a fire truck!!! I wanted to put the seatbelt on in the back seat, but it was what Daddy called a "five-point harnass" and he didn't think it would be so easy to get me out. :) Oh well, maybe one day I'll get to wear one for real. I had fun with Daddy, but I was still happy to see Mommy at the end of the day.

Walk a Mile in My Shoes

Or mommy's shoes in this case... we told him it was time to go to Target and this is how he walked out of the house... (earlier in the day it was Grandma Mary's shoes and he put them on and said "Gotta go to work").

Wednesday...

Yesterday was a pretty fun day... on wednesday mornings we go to CBS (and I'm learning my first bible verse... Matthew 28:20). Then its home to eat lunch and take a nap (and to see daddy). It was a half day for the elementary school kids, so we all took a field trip and walked to 7-11 to get slurpees!! I walked there all by myself and held my slurpee cup the whole way home!

After Slurpees we played in the backyard and I showed off my All-Star skills for the girls.

Their mommies called them home for dinner, so I decided to help my mommy fix dinner...

While cleaning up for dinner Asher decided it was a good time for a game of hide and seek!

Then Grandma Mary made a surprise visit! We had fun playing outside...

Playing Outside

Daddy has been a little under the weather this week, so mommy has tried to keep me occupied. (Anyone out there want to sympathize with keeping a two year old quiet and entertained for three days staight??) We had a good time playing outside :) Asher is quite the little driver (except I think he forgot to use his turn signal).

Asher was having fun in his tent... (mommy apologizes for the backgroud noise, she was on the phone).

Happy Birthday Aunt Chrissy!

Last friday was Chris' birthday! Her and Uncle Noelie always throw a good party! This year there were some friends my age at the party... I played washers with a little boy named Xavier...

Alena looked so pretty, you'd have thought it was her birthday!

Shindig

Our church had their annual Labor Day BBQ, only this year they called it a "Shindig" and there was fried chicken..... Drinking Holly's Soda :)

These are silly moments I think I would miss if I was teaching school all day... Watching his pop tart in the toaster... Pretending to be daddy and mowing the grass with daddy's ear protectors...
