Go Fish Guys!

Last sunday we got to see one of Asher's favorite music groups in concert! He's been singing their songs since he turned one (when mommy first heard them at a Hearts at Home conference). They are a group of dads who sing awesome accapella christian music for kids! Some of Asher's favorite friend's from church went too! (Thanks Ms. Rhonda for getting the wrist bands for us!). They started the concert by announcing "to all you dads who might have been brought against your will... be prepared to be pleasantly surprised... HA!!! (and I think they were).

A boy's best friend!

Have I mentioned that we are really blessed to have such patient and tolerable animals? Tag sleeps in Asher's room and they are pretty good buddies! Asher is getting better at holding her leash on walks, and Tag will even drop the tennis ball for him sometimes.

Tessa's House

Last weekend we took the new car to Chicago to see Tessa and her new puppies (and Aunt Candace and Uncle Ryan too!). They have 5 week old lab puppies and they are SO cute. The were big enough to wag their tails and try to climb out of the laundry basket, but still small enough to hold and not TOO excitable. Asher did a GREAT job being gentle with them. He still talks about his favorite "clover" and how her mommy is coming back for her (she is already sold).While he was there, daddy helped Uncle Ryan paint their downstairs. They are finishing their basement. We'll most likely get to stay down in the new room next time we visit since they are getting a nursery ready for Tessa to have a new little brother or sister (just like me!). We were very helpful! After painting we had a picnic lunch at the "splash park". It has a bunch of fountains and sprayers, and buckets that fill and tip over. It was perfect for little people like us...

Then it was naptime and time to hold some more puppies!

We had SO much fun!! I wish Tessa and I lived closer! We make a good team... I keep her up late at night, and she wakes me up at morning and naptime... great for playtime, bad for tired mommies.. LOL! We also tried a new pizza place (for us anyway). We are usually HUGE fans of Lou Malnati's but we decided to try Gino's East this time. We actually weren't very impressed... any Chicago pizza officianato's out there have any comments??

Last Day of Swimming

Last week we had to say goodbye to the waterpark for another winter... how sad! We convinced Aunt Chrissy and Alena to go with us for one last swim!

Today mommy, daddy and I drove to Grafton to pick a few peaches and some YUMMY blackberries to take to my cousin Tessa's house.

Happy Birthday Friends!

Saturday was a very fun day for me! I had TWO friends that were celebrating birthdays. First, my friend Lydia turned 3 on Saturday. Mommy and I met up with her and her family at Aquaport (a waterpark about 15 minutes from us). I had a great time swimming with Lydia. My favorite part of the day was the buckets that spilled water on us on the lazy river (in case he tells you that story you'll know what he was talking about!).

The second friend celebrating her birthday was my friend Alyssa. She was celebrating her 2nd birthday and had a party at her house! (Our mommies coach together in the summer).

I had a really fun time playing at her house!

Go Cardinals

After the Cardinals game on sunday we walked through Kiener Plaza and Asher really liked the arches (I think from the All-Star game). Here's to the cutest future Cardinal in the whole wide world!!

Eckert's

Saturday was my Great-Grandma Charity's 82nd birthday! We celebrated with dinner at Lotawata Creek and a trip to pick peaches at Eckert's. (Mommy has really good memories of going peach and apple picking with them when she was growing up!). The workers said they had been really busy in the morning, but it had rained breifly and there were only about 10 people there when we were there before they closed! There were plenty of really nice peaches left!

At the beginning of the summer I was worried that we had been spending too much time in the backyard playing ball and not enough time practicing our pedaling... but sure enough, we went for a ride with Alena last night and he did a great job!
