More Snow!

Hooray for snow!

Lite Brite

The extended time in the house this week forced me to scour for new activities... my Lite Brite was one of my favorite toys growing up, and Nathan bought me a new one our first christmas. So I took the risk and brought it out... The pegs are a little hard for Asher to poke through, but he actually does a really good job at it. He knows the orange pegs get poked in the "O" and the yellow pegs go in the "Y". These are a sampling of our creations this week! (Yes, he plays for like 5 minutes and I get to finish the rest... but its kind of fun for a change).

Snow!

To entice the dog to go out in the snow, we ventured out just long enough for our noses to get cold! Asher threw some snow at mommy, then cleaned the snow off of his car (after informing mommy "I need a brush"). They really pick up on things we do, don't they??

Planet Fun

Monday we went to Planet Fun with Lyida, Hannah, Nathan and Denise. The big kids helped me and Lydia climb up into the tunnels! Then we played a few games in the arcade and rode the car rides. It was fun!! Then we had lunch at Wendy's... hooray for holidays!

Dinner with 'the girls'

Last week mommy's team went to Pasta House for dinner after their swim meet... Asher decided to sit right between Amy and Katie! :)

MegaBlocks Mansion

Asher, Alena and I built a MegaBlocks Mansion... mommy did most of the work, mainly because she is picky about it being symmetrical... but it turned out pretty good.

Its roughly 160 mega blocks!

Then the kiddos decided to read a book while mommy cleaned up the blocks!

Dance Cam

It took me a week to get this toy out of the package, but it was well worth the wait!! Grandma Mary got me this Dance cam for Christmas... it plugs into the TV and you can see yourself dance. The lighting isn't very good and it is designed for TVs smaller than 27 inches (silly, huh?) so the picture can be a little grainy, but toddlers don't know that! HE LOVES IT! He dances and even listens to the characters tell him what move to do. In one of the videos he figured he can run from one side "off camera" across to the other! FUN STUFF! He'd love to have some friends come over and dance.. he he! (Tessa, Caroline, Gracie, Lydia???)

New Years

Here was our festive New Year's party this year. Asher got to play at Lydia's house and the two were a RIOT! Midnight.... The kids all ran outside to make noise.... The older kids had sparklers, but Asher wanted nothing to do with them... smart kid!

There were lots of yummy snacks...

And fun toys at Lydia's!

Every party needs live entertainment, right?
