Apple Picking

Fall apple picking is one of my VERY FAVORITE traditions.... we used to go every year with my grandparents and now we get to take our kids! Saturday we took our annual trip with our Small Group over to Grafton for a very fun (and almost wet) day. We managed to get our excursion in prefectly between rain showers and Asher got his tractor ride.Checking to see "how many apples tall" he is...Riding the tractor with Tirzah...Mommy's Boy!Grandma helped me get the high ones!A yummy one to eat! Balloon Glow

Last weekend was the Balloon Glow in Forest Park. We went down with Aunt Holly and Grandma. There were lots of really big balloons and we packed a picnic dinner. As it turned darker the balloons started to glow (and Asher wasn't a big fan... I think he thought there were going to be lots of loud noises too). It was the most people I've EVER seen in one place... the traffic was crazy, but we parked in a pretty good spot and left before the fireworks.(Taken by Asher)

Labor Day

On Labor Day we spent a fun, relaxing day with some friends at Creve Coeur Park. We played wiffleball, rode bikes, and threw rocks into the lake (one of Asher's favorites). We also BBQed and played on the playground (Tessa- we found out there is a splash park near us!)

Harvest Fest

Saturday while my cousins were here we spent the morning at the Hazelwood Harvest Fest. It was a really fun morning and there were LOTS of free things for little guys like me to do! The morning started off with a parade... I took my lunchbox and got lots of bubble gum and tootsie rolls! :) Our neighbor John is the drum major closest to you in the picture! Asher loves to see firetrucks, but doesn't like the noise!

There was a really neat H2Orchestra exhibit where all the instruments used water to make their sounds. This was a water piano.

Autographs

Asher got his very first Cardinals autographs from Matt Holliday and Rick Ankiel this week! He has signed baseball cards for his 'baseball room'. We waited in line for a little over 2 hours.. but he was a great sport!

Cardinals Game

So once again I have Cardinals' pictures to post! Our friends at church asked if we had season tickets... sadly no, we managed a Pujols pack this year with 6 sunday afternoon games and a friday night game on our Anniversary. So, this may be Asher's last game of the season... Grandma and Aunt Holly came along (Grandma had company seats WAY lower than our nosebleed seats, so after the 5th inning we went down to visit). Sadly we didn't make it in time to get an Adam Wainwright bobble head... we were even there 35 minutes before game time! We at least got a few post-game win fireworks though... we had bad luck with the Cardinals winning friday and saturday and then dropping the sunday game.

Asher's favorite question this time was "who's on deck?"... he is very inquisitive in his "3s". He also is now learning the base coaches and bullpen pitcher's jersey numbers. If he ever asks you what your number is, he wants to know how old you are... I think he thinks thats what it means. It will be interesting when he and Yadi are both 4 next year! :)
