I did it! I found the pots and pans... mommy has let me play in there ocassionally but only when she opened it... now I can do it by myself! This is how I spent my tuesday evening (I had just gotten out of my swimming pool, and daddy had BBQ'd some hamburgers). 
This morning mommy awoke to find a lid in the living room... wonder how that happened?
