Puppy Party!

Today was party day for this 1 year old. I was so excited I couldn't even wait until after breakfast for those presents... mommy found me trying to open this one and I wasn't even out of my jammies yet! After a fun lunch at Red Robin with my Illinois family we headed to the church for the party. Awhile after we got there mommy stuck this HUGE cake in front of me and everyone watched me while I dug in... first I tried to eat it with the back of a fork, but then my fork disappeared and I was forced to eat with my hands... boy did it taste good! (Someday will they let me eat the whole thing?) Then it was on to presents. Mommy says I am going to be one smart and good looking baby with all the books and clothes I got. Plus daddy has been showing me how to play with all my fun toys this afternoon. Mommy says I should say a big THANK YOU to everyone who came (especially Aunt Candace and Uncle Ryan who came all the way from near Chicago just to see me). What a day....

My First Birthday

Well, its been a fun day so far... its 2:00 and I'm taking a nap (he he) but mommy said she'd let you know about my day so far. I woke up to my favorite breakfast of Cheerios and Bananas. Then we went to the portrait studio to get our pictures taken... mommy says I did pretty well but I kept trying to crawl away. As we were waiting for our pictures we went to a place called Trader Joe's because daddy had heard about it from someone at work. They guy who checked us out gave me a balloon and a really yummy fruit snack treat (a new favorite). With pictures in hand we met a bunch of my friends at the Mills mall for a playdate. After a group picture it was time to head back to the house for lunch with Grandpa Jerry and a nap. Later tonight we are going to mommy's favorite place (Olive Garden) for dinner. She says she's in for years of Chuckie Cheese, so she'll savor this one for now. Isn't being one fun?

One year old!

Can you believe it? I am one year old now! Mommy says its been a great year, better than she could have ever imagined! Thanks to everyone who visits my blog... it takes a village to raise a child right?? Or at least a lot of friends who will pray for one (a child that is). On to new adventures... and a new look for the blog!

Another first...

Yesterday J.J and I went to the park... isn't spring wonderful! We went for a walk in our strollers, watched some geese, had a picnic lunch, went down the slide a few times, arm wrestled (he he) and then the funnest part... the swings!!! While JJ was having a turn on the swing, mommy set me down for just a second... she now thinks that was not a good idea...

My Girlfriends

Last friday my friends Maggie and Makenzie came to visit. Maggie shared her teddy grahams and we read books together. Mommy was excited to hold a little girl baby but says I'm not quite ready for a little sis yet!

Outside!!

Today was once again a very nice day (Its OFFICIALLY spring now!) so mommy and daddy decided to grill some chicken for dinner. We all went outside and sat in the backyard while it cooked and I tried to walk around with my toy... the grass is much harder to push across than the living room floor (mommy says I'm getting pretty quick across the living room). We also threw a stick for Tag to fetch, but she's not real good at the bringing back part... she would rather you chase her... oh well, it was a great evening to enjoy the backyard!

Its almost birthday time... mommy is getting very excited! (So is daddy!). Mostly because all of my Illinois family is going to come for my party! Last year at this time mommy and daddy were keeping a countdown until I arrived so they thought it was only fitting to revisit the countdown once again (at least this time they aren't guessing)!
