Mark Twain Lake

Last weekend was our annual "Olson Weekend" at Mark Twain Lake. Asher had the BEST time with his cousin Tessa! They read books.... Asher taught Tessa how to throw rocks in the pond behind the condo....

They rode together in the van to the Marina (don't you love built in car seats??)...

Six Flags

Asher got a free tickets on Six Flags day at the Cardinal's game, so we took him with the youth group (mommy and daddy were "chaperones", but the kids were too well behaved for them to need us!). We had a little mishap with Yosemite Sam scaring Asher (he is VERY afraid of people dressed in character costumes) and them with mommy losing her camera (only temp. thankfully! Thank you to the nice person who turned it in!), but after a while we were off to explore the park. Asher thought these M&M stairs were really cool! Then we found the new "looney tunes town" (thats what mommy remembers it being called). It was REALLY nice! He wouldn't ride on any rides, but he had a lot of fun climbing in the big tree house!

This toddler actually lasted til 5:00! He did such a good job and we had a pretty fun day!

Cardinals Game

This was our latest outing to the Cardinals game on June 7th! Sadly, there were no fireworks and it was drizzling rain just a bit, but a foam finger makes it worth it, right?? As a treat for their birthday (which are almost all in the summer months) we invited our neighbors the O'Brien's to come along! Asher made it to the 8th inning!! :)

Georgia Vacation - Day Three

Wednesday morning it was raining outside, so we slept in and had a lazy morning in the hotel. When we ventured out around 10 it was starting to clear and we headed to Tybee Island "Savannah's Beach". We drove around a bit and stopped at North Beach to check it out for a few minutes. North Beach Boardwalk...

Then we took a "dolphin cruise". The dolphins came right out to our boat! They follow in the shrimping boats to get the fish the shrimpers discard.

Flying our kite on the beach... Asher was VERY worried it was going to fly away! So it was a VERY fun last full day of vacation! Asher did a great job adjusting without a formal nap (he spent the entire lunch at Uncle Bubba's sleeping on my lap). It makes me wish we lived closer to the beach!

Georgia Vacation - Day Two

Day Two-

Waiting in line to "make reservations" at The Lady and Sons (Paula Deen's restaurant). You have to get there in the morning and pick a time for dinner! We went about 45 minutes before they opened and got a really good time for dinner. Our first day at Hilton Head beach.... Asher had the BEST time!
